Default Recommend a silicone skin please

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I've tried two silicone skins so far and I'm not really happy with either:

- I got this one: eBay: BLACK SILICONE SKIN CASE FOR RIM Blackberry 8800 8830 (item 190120647464 end time Jun-09-07 21:22:56 PDT)

Overall I like it, but I don't like the keyboard being covered (though I would). The silicone is somewhat "tacky" and it has nice bumps on the side that make it easy to grip.

- I purchased the OEM silicone case

This one (IMHO) is just bad. The skin is so smooth it's slippery.

So can anyone recommend a silicone skin that is more on the sticky/tacky side (possibly with bumps on the side for a better grip) but that does not cover the keyboard?

TIA,

Frank

Hi Frank...

I went to e*ay and got setup with the thin film plastic on my 8800. So far, the only issue I have is in very bright sunlight. The film covers the screen and wraps on the top. I covers the bottom area under the keboard and there are two additional pieces for the back.

holden,

Thank you, but I personally don't like the protectors that stick to the unit. I've had previous issues with residue etc. when you take them off.

The skin is fine so far... No Complaints except the bright light... I was thinking of trying the clear covers but they seemed too much bulk when I looked at them on the web...
