Default Viewing .pdf Not Attached to Email

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys:

I've done some searching, and found some indirect answers to this question, but nothing very functional.

I get several emails a day which contain a link to a .pdf file housed on a remote server. I click on the link, the 8830 will not read it, but asks asks me if I want to save it to my media card. I save it to the media card. There is no option to read the .pdf as if it had come as an attachment rather than a http link.

I use the explore function of the Media application to find the file, but because the Media application does not support .pdf files, it will not open it.

I can now attach the saved file in an email to myself and use the BES's pdf reading capability to view the file, but this is very cumbersome for mulitiple emails.

I've searched for .pdf readers, but they all seem to be server-based solutions that are essentially doing the same thing I am now by sending myself an email and using my BES.

With all that background (my apologies), does some one make a .pdf reader designed to read .pdf files off the 8830 media card?

I suspect that media cards on BB devices are too new for someone to have devleoped this yet. All the current programs just seem to duplicate what I can do now with my BES.

Thanks in advance.

Craig.

Only document files I managed to open just from SD folder is .txt Probably expensive packages like eOffice offer .pdf support but I saw in couple of reviews that quality was terrible.. I am unaware about any separate .pdf viewer
