I have been using my 8700 for a week now and not too happy about the default ringtone selections. For those who are not using the latest OS 4.2 but 4.1, is there any way to add ringtones?

Before on my old cell phone I could just transfer through bluetooth from one phone to another, but it doesn't seem to work with the 8700. It works one way from the 8700 to a cell phone, but not the other way. Is this normal? Will OS 4.2 help with this? Will I get 2 way transfers and ability to transfer a mp3 ringtone of my own through BB Desktop? Will this work as well for photos and not ringtones?

I wanted to ask because my 8700 is an unlocked used model from Rogers and there might be some technical things I wasn't aware of or if the device is faulty. Not sure, so thought I would ask. Thanks guys.

With 4.1 you have to download your ringtones from a website. If you upgrade to 4.2, yes, you can move tunes and pictures via the Media Manager in Desktop Manager.
