Hey guys.. I know I should do my research first and I did, however, I wasnt exactly able to find the answer I was looking for.

I have a 7130c and use Outlook to Synch all my contacts. I have a questions though..

I see 3 options when I can sync my contacts into Outlook:

Import (into Handeld)
Export (from handeld)
Synchronize

Now, I already have my contacts on my phone and I have my contacts on Outlook.

What I would like to know is which option to use in what scenario.

1) For example, I edited a contact on Outlook, and want that edit to reflect on my handheld? (so far, I have only been able to duplicate the contact and not actually have the edit appear on my BB, but rather have John x and John appear on my BB, while having just John on my Outlook)

2) I deleted a contact on my BB and want that deletion to appear on my Outlook contacts?

I might be making this more difficult than it actually is, however, up until now, I have doubled and trippled contacts in my BB from synching due to editing in my BB and Outlook.

I would really appreciate some clarifications on the whole synching issue, if someone could be so kind as to help me out.

have you turned your wireless synch on? should be under option..

1-Don't know. You obviously have something set oddly. IF I WERE YOU, and having these problems, I would just delete ALL your BB contacts and start over with a clean sync from Outlook. I am thinking your have something in the name field different that is not allowing the records to sync, and instead adding a new duplicate record.

2-Won't do on BIS. If you are BES, yes.

Ok.. non of these answers have really helped me.

I want to know what options out of the 3 I choose for different scenarios.. Like what option do I choose if I want to synch a certain way.

For example.. Right now, I want to change the number on 3 of my contacts. If i change the number in Outlook with the respective contact, which option do I choose so that the change reflects in my BB...

Please help.

Maybe this will help a little. When using DTM are this.

Import - when you would like to use DTM to import from Outlook, or another file, to the BB

Export - hwne you would like to export from the BB to Outlook, Notes, etc..

Synchronize - when you woud like the 2 to mirror each other
