When I got my new 8830, Verizon changed my text messaging from iN-PIX/FLIX to normal text messaging. As such, I cannot receive picture messages anymore. They now refuse to change it back, saying it is not possible on a non-camera phone.

Anyone else having this same problem? Is there a way around it? I hate having to check the internet to see picture people sent me.

I've had the same issue but its not just your account settings. The 8830 has that issue in general. Others here have posted similar results and it probably won't change any time soon

Any work around?

Only thing I can think of is just email the photo to your account instead of texting...
