Talking Media Manager

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious if there will be any 3rd party vendor making some software for bb's with the 4.1 handheld software in it to work with Media Manager? It's not detecting that there's a connection with my 7100i and DTM 4.2 under Media Manager so until it gets hhsw 4.2, is there any 3rd party vendor that would act as a go between between the 7100i and dtm 4.2's Media Manager?

Thanks!

Should work just fine. I have connected a number of 7100 series devices to my BDM 4.2 without issue. Did you have the BlackBerry attached to the PC when you installed BDM. If so, connect the BlackBerry to the PC and then go to Windows device manager. Try updating the driver by pointing it to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers.

Default Media Mgr

Hi Doug,

Yes I have connected my 7100i successfully... that's not the issue.. the issue is when I go into Roxio Media Manager (their latest version)... at the bottom it should list the 7100i's PICTURE directory that houses any/all wall paper/pics... I don't get that message saying it's found it and thus cannot "COPY DOWN" a pic from my pc pictures directory to the 7100i pictures directory.. it just will not say that it's detecting my 7100i even though I can do any/all other functions. I heard because the 7100i doesn't have 4.2 hhsw in it that the media mgr won't communicate... I was wondering if there was any 3rd party sofware out there that would help with that communication for bb's with less than 4.2 hhsw because that would be a lot nicer to do rather than emailing or text messaging lots of pictures to a bb... don't you think?

Thanks!

Ron

The 4.1 devices won't work with Media Manager and I don't know of any software to make it work....sorry.
