What options does it give you when you open attachment?

First of all, congrats on having the BEST Blackberry device on the market. I use the 7100G myself and I've used the 7280, 7290.... anyways... if you want to download a picture to your BB there is only one way to do it. If you have the picture already in your computer file then all you have to do is e-mail it to yourself and in the attachment area just attach the picture you want to be on your device. Then wait a few mins and you should have a e-mail show up on your device and the when you open it it should see something like " [1attachment] " and then click on your trackwheel once and the "open attachment" option should show up. Give that a try and let me know how it works for ya... I'm confident that you will be able to download pictures if you follow my instructions or you'll probably end up figuring it out by yourself with my little clue... good luck, have fun and let me know how it worked for ya. Thanks.

Yeah I emailed the pics and when I select the 1attachment in the top portion of the message, I do not get an open attachment for the .jpg image. I sent myself an .xls file and I was able to open that one with no issues. Not sure why the .jpg can not be opened, when the system pictures are .jpg

Default Redirect vs. BES

I'm no expert, but I think if you are using the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector instead of the BES server software, attachments will not work.

They do not for me either, and I am still waiting for our IT guys to install the Exchange Server Software.

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Try Berry Pix picture gallery software. Also try naming your image x-rimdeviceBLAH.jpg

Berry Pix slideshow software can be downloaded from rimroad, handango or
via links on www.colabnet.com

I have 7100g from Cingular using a hosted exchange/redirector environment. The following worked for me...

I got the idea from a previous post.

If you haven't already setup the webclient for your account goto: https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...ite=mycingular

e-mail the pictures (regardless of filename) to your newly created address (i.e. [email address])

You will then have the ability to open and save the pictures.

Hope this helps and thanks to the previous posters for the inspiration!
