Default BB Newbie - 8830 Questions

Please Login to Remove!

I switched from the Q to the 8830- overall I am enjoying the BB, but have some learning to do. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

1) Does the 8830 use the same charging cable as the 8800?

2) I have a 2G card installed, I formatted it and now the device keeps telling me it cannot read the card, and asks if it has been formatted- When the card was visible to the device it could not see any of the music or books I downloaded- the media card file structure did not follow the music/video/ringtone/pictures folders of the device and I cannot seem to find any of the stuff I did- Is there an explorer option? When I look at the desktop manager the files are there.

3) Any way to disable the text message that you get when a voice mail comes in?

Thanks in advance.

you need to enable mass storage for the card, otherwise, your bb will not recognize it....

Thanks for the information

My media card settings show that I have Mass Storage Mode Support on and Auto support is on Yes, however, it still is giving me the message that a Media card has been inserted that is not formatted, please formatted, but I have already formatted it on the device several times. Thoughts?

BTW your old Moto Q chargers also work with the 8830.
