Default 7130E Wheel Broken

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7130 with a wheel that will not click. I am out of waranty, and see that there is a service available through one of the advertisers to replace it.

Is there anywhere to get a replacement wheel assembly? I am fairly sure that I can take care of the labor myself. Otherwise, has anyone used one of the repair companies, and are they worth the cost?

Thanks,
-Chris

It's soldered on.. If you want you can get a junker off ebay and unsolder it and solder it on yours.

I had the same issue with my 7130c right after the year warranty expired, as if they knew it happens after a year.

I tried fixing it but its not the wheel thats the problem. The input that the wheels clicks into was my issue. And that is connected to the main board of the phone.

As you can see I just bought a new curve. Problem fixed lol

Can you confirm that you are outof the one-year warranty on the device?

If you subscribe to either the Total-Equipment-Coverage or extended warranty, the device can be replaced without paying the $50 fee, as it is considered a hardware failure and not user damage.
