Default Insert SIM Card - message appears on 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Anytime I am on a call with my 8830, there is a message at the bottom of the screen that reads "Insert SIM Card"

Does anyone know what this is from?

I think it's because the phone comes defaulted to Automatic network selection and by doing so I believe it's also scanning for the GSM networks, but since the phone (mine anyway) didn't come with a SIM card it can't scan for that network to complete the Automatic selection. I think you MIGHT be able to avoid it by selecting only CDMA. Give it a try!

I checked my settings and I am on the Verizon Network Only setting. Also it says network mode is 1XEV (not global setting)

Very strange...it just started to show up today too.
