Make sure whatever leather case you buy, it is specifically for the 7250/7290 BB models. Any generic 7200/6200 series will NOT work as the 7250/7290 is alittle thicker than the 7230/7280 BB.

If you go to the official RIM accessories store, at www.blackberry.net, they sell a leather swivel holster that works for the 7250/7290 BB.

I have one for my 7250.
the model number is ACC-08582-001

Do all these leather cases have the magnet installed to control the BB sleep function?

My understanding is that all RIM products will have the magnet - mine does.

How easy is it to get in and out of the case? I like the look and the concept seems pretty good.

No problem - I was concerned about the ease of use as well. The case is easy to get into and out of. It takes a little use to loosen up the elastic, but beyond that - all good.

That's what I was hoping to hear, I'll be investing shortly! Thanks for the information.

I have the same case mentioned above. I do like it, at first it was a little hard to get out, now seems to be better, I do want the extended battery which I think would cause me to have to get a new case, How are those Skin-tight cases, do they have the magnet?

Regards,

I've got the case shown above and it works just fine with the extended battery.

May I ask a question? I would like a case leather or vinyl (I don't care) for my BB 7290 that I can use to hold it in my pocket... I have a bit of a stomach and when at work, it is easier to put the thing in my pocket. The clip usually makes it inconvenient to care as such, so I was hoping someone would recommend a good and think case for my 7290. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, someone from Ouray, CO. Have the slopes been getting any snow?

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7290: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7290/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I was looking for leather until I saw the skin tight cases, these stretch over the bb with silicone rubber and have the same kind of belt clip that comes with your phone. Great protection and makes the phone very nice to hold, as it won't slip out of your hand.
