Default Top of the address book

Please Login to Remove!

Other than a reboot, or using the trackball forever, how do get to the top of the address book after locating an entry?

That is, if I type J, O, N , it will take me to Jones. How to get back to the top? Is there a shortcut?

Tx

backspace over the most recent search and type A.

Nope, that doesn't work. I have hundreds of entries above A, eg :

$ Site 1
$ Site 2
$ Site 3

....and if backspace over the most recent search and type in $, it ignores it. If I type in $ Site 1, it gives me the searh results.

All I want to to get to the top of the list, as if I just powered up.

Then you need to rename your contact entries, lol.

j/k. I do have some symbol and numerical contact entries that upon entering "1" it will go to the top. Same with the "$". I don't know why yours won't.

Good luck.

I've found that by holding the ALT key and scrolling up is similar to paging up. Not a direct link to the top, but a lot quicker than scrolling through the entire contact list.

$ and Enter gives me " [No Matches: $]

1 and Enter gives me 'only' the entries with '1'.

Neither is the top of the entire list with all entreis below it.

BUT I JUST FOUND OUT HOW

$ and hitting the ESCAPE key, resets the list to power on status.

Even if I dont , I still get No mathes.

But per above, $ and ESC works perfectly.

Hold down the ALT key and scroll up. It will skip to the top of the next set of letters.
