Default Playing Video from Websites

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Is anyone able to play videos from some of these websites?

cnn.com
youtube.com

For cnn.com it tells me I need a plugin then directs me a windows media player website which obviously won't work for BB.

For youtube.com videos it tells me I need a specific flash player and directs me to adobe flash website which once again won't work with BB.

If you are able to watch videos from websites such as the two listed above please let me know how you do this? I have also got a message from another site telling mpeg file type not supported

In another thread it says mpeg files are supported by the blackberry media player.

Please if you know of a good thread I can read on this topic let me know. The 8800 video thread wasn't very helpful.

Please advise me on settings, or is there something I need to download? Thanks

dperrone

Those websites use flash to play the videos. There isnt any flash player for the blackberry at the current time.

Is this something that is going to be addressed soon? I'm a little surprised that this hasn't been addressed yet being th at the BB's have been around for a few years and have become more mainstream.

If there is more information on this, it would be very appreciated if it was posted.

I dont think there will be a flash player for the blackberry any time soon. It is a very popular topic.
