OS Release 188.8.131.52/184.108.40.206 for 7130g/c (GSM only)
New realease for the 7130c and 7130g (GSM models only)
Software For BlackBerry 7130g(TM) BlackBerry Handheld Software v220.127.116.11 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 18.104.22.168
To install this update:
1. Make sure your Desktop Manager is up to date. Latest version can be downloaded Here
2. Download AND install to your PC the 22.214.171.124 OS package. Once downloaded double click on the file you downloaded to install to the PC.
3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Plug in the BB, Open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
*A backup and restore is part of the process so your data/apps will transfer over. After the OS loads it is not uncommon to see the spinning hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time on the device. The process can take 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data needs to be backed up and restored.
If you end up with a white screen with small icons with a circle and a line through it, simply plug back into the Desktop Manager, run Application Loader and reload the OS.

Does Opera Mini work with this new version?
I See The "c" But Not The "g"...bummer
Eager was I to load this new OS in hopes it would stamp out my Desktop Manager synchronization bug infestation.
Alas, clicking through the link brought me to a dropdown list giving me options that included the 7130c and 7100g but not a 7130g.
Am I failing to see it?
Joyfully About Business,
i've just try to download. and found 7130c not 7130g.
can it installed on to every 7130 version?
Originally AT&T had both the 7130c and the 7130g listed, but now that only the 7130c is listed, I bet you'd find the new OS listed there.
The OS for the 7130c and 7130g is interchangeable. This OS will work on either model. This OS will NOT work on a 7130e as the 7130e is a CDMA device. Also, this OS will not work on a 7100g either. So, as the title of the thread states it's for 7130g and 7130c.
With 220.127.116.11 on a 7130c when I use the scroll wheel to unlock the phone it does not work. When I click on unlock all I get is the keypad is locked screen. Anyone else having this issue?
Also after upgrading my 7130c I lost my InternetBrowser option. All I have not is MediaNet and Broswer. Browser loads the WAP browser. I tried resending Service Books. Any ideas?
Has anyone noticed the slow response of the ALT-SYM combination? It is easily 5 times longer to access symbols. Annoying, that.
got error on 18.104.22.168
after upgrade my device.
i installed google maps.
and got error on execute it.
Desktop Manager Crashed following the above posted instructions.
I ran the "AppLoader.exe" program located in the same directory as the XML file. It worked and upgraded my unit flawlessly. All applications work fine on it as well. Deleting the XML file caused the Desktop Program crash. (It would run correctly when copied back).
Edit: I got it working..
Do wav files finally play on this version?
i use the new rom(ver101) replace something in the java folder.....
and refresh the device .....
i got the new version!!!
i can't find anything different.but the opera(3and4 beta) is very useful!
since this was released and it was previously thought that it wasn't, is there any chance that it may for the CDMA 7130?
thanks work great.
4.2.1 Hosed my 7130c
I followed all of John Clark's instructions (and then some)--even used the JL_Cmder to wipe the device several times, but at the end of the apploader install, the hourglass screen shows for about 3 minutes and then screen goes black with red LED on, and then toggles back to the hourglass screen again. This happens for hours on end. I tried loading with and without vendor.xml and on a Vista and XP machine. No luck. I cannot get this to upgrade my phone and now cannot get the phone working either. Am I missing something?
