I just updated my test device to the 4.2 code released for AT&T, hoping they included the media player to support playback of Unity Voicemail, which comes in .wav format.

The attachments download, the media player opens and then the device resets. Does not seem to matter what the attachment size is. Anyone else had a chance to try this out?

Your profile says you're using an 8800 from Cingular, which, supported .wav file playback with the software that it comes with (already comes with 4.2).

Are you using an 8700 device?

I am using the 8800, but we have about 120 of our blackberry users on the 8700 platform. We're updating the BES to 4.1 this week, and I'm hoping to avoid a major case of technology envy when they see those with 8800/8100 devices opening up their office voice messages (Cisco Unity VM) from their blackberries.

UPDATE:
Tried again with a new device, and this one works pretty well although the volume seems a bit off.

Since I upgraded to 4.2, Unity VM plays on my 8700C very nicely.
