I have had 8700 for about two months. For most of the time it had worked with no problem. One day 8700 started to delete emails in the device only after 3 or 4 hours since they have been received. Emails are kept in my Mac, however it is impossible to read any email in my BB that has more than 4 hours in the inbox.

Has anyone had the same problem? All configuration in BB is set to keep messages for up to 30 days.

Your device is probably out of memory.
Go to Options > Status and look at the value for File Free:
My guess is it's quite low.

Delete some apps and/or saved messages that you don't use/need anymore and free up some space.

Get rid of added pictures, themes and unused languages as well.

and finally (just to chime in)...
reboot your BB by pulling the battery while it is powered ON.

I had this problem and called Verizon support. They had me resend the Service Books and that solved the problem.

Thanks, but it seems it is not a matter of memory. Following your recommendations, I found out that the free space is over 70% of available memory.

So, any other ideas? I just cannot work with this BB as emails are deleted now almost immediately after being read (and I start to believe that might be even deleted before I read them)
