Default BB synch with Outlook Rules

Please Login to Remove!

I would just like to know if there's any work around i can do when it comes to the rules i have in Outlook. I understand that from time to time, you get to receive emails ahead of the handheld. When this happens due to the delay, my outlook rules run and my mail transferred to the personal folder. When that happens redirection or forwarding to the device has been overruled by the Outlook rules that I've set.

Can anyone help me with this? thanks

Warped, are you on POP BIS mail to your BB? If so, just set your Outlook to leave messages on the server, and your BB will have time to get them.

If you are on BES, they should be pushed to the BB without regard.

So, what is your basic mail setup?

I'm on BES... recently i have been encountering synchronization problems that it's either a delay receiving emails in my handheld or outlook receives it first then the email goes straight to the assigned personal folder, when that happens i won't get the email in my BB... I already asked our IT guys here and they said once it goes to the personal folder then the device might not probably receive it...

They said it might be a network delay and our BES and Exchange server is located in UK and I'm here in the Philippines...

I just had exactly the same thing. I received a message that a rule transferred and it didn't get to the BB. However, the folder it went to via rules was not a personal folder it was an online cached folder.
I changed the rule to copy it to the other folder instead of move it. Kind of a pain since it will be in two places, but it does keep it in the Inbox.

We are on BES also.

Yup -- set up forwarding for the subfolder in Desktop Manager. You can only do this on folders in your mailbox -- email that does to a PST "disappears" as far as BES is concerned (it has no access to your PST).

In DM go to Email Settings->Advanced and then click on the Choose Folders button under the Folder Redirection setting. By default only your inbox is forwarded.

It's not a sync issue as Blackberries don't sync email. See above -- the BES can't reconcile mail that is moved to a PST or permanently deleted right away.
