8700c not holding the backlight

I have an 8700c that isnt holding the light on as long as the settings are saying. I am on ver. 4.1.0.377 plat. 2.0.0.152.

If anyone has the same problems with different versions or if you have had any success with other versions, let me know.

How about updating the newer OS, I would try that first.
