I have been researching this a while. I see now that BB has the option of using internet other than BES or MDS for data now. I think you use TCP/IP access. I read a post previously in howardforums where someone unlocked a 7100i to use on Boost mobile, then got the data plan .30/day? Then he was able to access data on it from there. Granted this post was 1 year old, I wonder if nextel fixed that loop hole. Anyone else been sucessful getting a data connection on an unlocked 7100i with a boost sim? I would just like to be able to pull my email and send sms via prepaid on the 7100i with boost. I know boost offers a data option, but unsure how this could be used on a 7100i.

I know there are those who say no data= no email, but I am speculating here please provide rational reason why it won't work. I would appreaciate it a lot. Thanks for the help.

Update:

Upon reading further posts I found as long as you have the Service Books for nextel on your phone, you can use SMS with Boost + 7100i. The data will work also, BUT you cannot use BB built in browser. You have to use Oprea or another 3rd party browser. When I learn more I'll update everyone.
