Default Purchase 8800

Please Login to Remove!

I've searched through the forums, and I haven't seen if there are any trusted sources where I can buy an unlocked 8800. I bought my 8700c a while back from the Cingular store and had it unlocked, but was wondering if there were any other reccommended sources.

Thanks

There are many being sold on eBay. If you know what you are doing, eBay can be quite safe and will have value.

Thumbs up

I aggree with greggebhardt. I picked up an 8800 on ebay for $325 in a "Make an offer" auction. I did not do the unlock thing as I searched specifically for a T-Mobile device. Got it, swapped the SIM and did a BES activation and haven't looked back.

Thanks for the help. I've been watching eBay, but I get a little leary about buying electronics. I'm also looking to use this with my T-Mobile account.

York, look on this board as well. I bought mine locked for $300 on Ebay, but from a user on here. Unlocked for $20, myself.
For example, this seller seems to have a good reputation on this board:
WTS: BNIB BlackBerry 8800 (AT&T branded)
Can't tell if this one has sold...
WTS: Unlocked Cingular Branded 8800 -New

also check craigslist for local sales, where you can meet someone. that way you see the item. i have sold alot of items there, and it makes both buyer and seller a bit more comfortable. be wary though scammers still email ya with stupid offers, like they need a blackberry for the son graduating pre school, etc etc.

good luck
