Default Master Reset

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a used 8700c from ebay, it works fine but I dont have a bluetooth icon on the home screen or an internet icon to select. Is there a way to do a master reset to restore the blackberry to its original factory settings?

Ryan, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan? If not, you won't have the internet browser icon.

Otherwise, it could just be hidden, along with the BT icon. Hold ALT and click the trackwheel to SHOW ALL and see if they appear.

There is no 'master reset' to factory settings. You could wipe the device one of two ways... and reload the OS.

buying a used BB on ebay is like...getting sloppy 4ths from your ex-girlfriend

Hmm.. I guess that is all according to the kind of girls one dates!

But I have bought one 8800 off Ebay from user with excellent reps, and a member of this forum. As with anything, care and research counts. Caveat Emptor, in all purchases.

well i was just making the comparison. what i SHOULD have said...

"buying a used BB CAN be similar to getting sloppy 4ths from a ex-girlfriend"

either that or a box of chocolates...you never know what you're gonna get

Well, enjoy your stupid push to talk icon, 'cause you won't be getting a browser icon without a BlackBerry Data Plan. Nor email or any data.
