I am a Cingular customer using a 7100t BB. I was trying to fix my IM problem since it wouldn't work and I think I screwed up. I erased my IM application and have no idea how to get it back. I never had the chat service book so that could have been the problem. But now I don't even have the IM application. Anyone have any idea how I can get the IM application back?

reboot the phone, go to options, settings, host routing table, then register. Server should push it back down soon after.

I doubt that will work since he is on the Cingular network. It is a T-Mobile application which is pushed by T-Mobile's network.

so in order to make it work again would I call T-Mobile to have them send it to me again? Would they even do that?

If you are on the Cingular network, then T-Mobile can't send it to you.

What is I go to the website, software.se.t-mobile.com/ and download the T-mobile Handheld Software Version (4.0.0.198) to my phone. Will it mess up all of my cingular settings? Will I lose all of my service books?

It's not a RIM problem. The IM application supplied by T-Mobile for use on their BBs is pushed over the air by T-Mobile. Since your BB is not on the T-Mobile network, they can't push to it. I think that's about it... Sorry

Damn it, that is a shame. Having a t-mobile phone on a cingilar network is really a pain in the ass. oh well. Thanks for your help
