8830 "standby mode" and phone calls = can't answer

Hello,
I've had this problem a few times in the last couple days. I put the 8830 into "standby mode" by holding the mute button for a few seconds (rather than just using "Lock"). Later on, I get a call. The 8830 wakes up and shows me who is calling, but I can't accept the call because the keyboard is still disabled. The trackball works but the buttons dont (can't click trackball, either).
I have also noticed that it doesn't properly come out of standby sometimes, and i have to hit the power button to get the keyboard to respond. I have also found no way to answer a call when this happens, I can't get it out of standby mode until after the call is missed, by re-entering standby and then exiting it using the power button. I don't know if buttons are mashing in my pocket that causes this or what.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, any fixes?

Has this problem been answered yet. I have a user who experiences this same condition. While in standby, an incoming call can not be answered until the ringing has ended. VZW 8830 w/the lastest OS v4.2.2.148 Platform 3.0.0.67
