Default Disable gprs on a 7290?

Please Login to Remove!

I've recently moved to Beijing, and I'm trying to use my 7290 with a China Mobile SIM card. I'm having problems however, because my phone automatically connects to the new GPRS network here, which I am not registered for. My calls, therefore, do not go through. I have no desire to use China Mobile's internet or email services, and would be very content connecting only to their GSM network. Is there any way to completely disable GPRS on a 7290 so that I may do this?

Thanks,
Patrick

I don't believe the 7290 has the option to disable data services.

Solution 1: Version 4.1.0.309 handheld software do has the switch for disconnecting from GPRS/EDGE. Located in Options->Networks->data connection.
Solution 2: call China Mobile customer service, dial 10086, select english language service, ask them to close gprs, however it may possibly take effect automaticly the next month after your dialing. So choose the 1st solution.
