Default Software issues among other things, return?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone, I've had my 8800 for a little over a month now and have some issues. Wondering how I should go about trying to get these fixed (software re-install? Get a new 8800?)

1. If the keylock is on and I get a txt message (under dimension today theme) the text message will stay frozen on the homescreen, even after it's been read and or deleted. The only way to clear it is a battery pull (VERY ANNOYING)

2. When dialing any number that starts out with a "6" I get this error when I hit the next number "uncaughtexception: java.lang.ClassCastException"

These two issues are very annoying. I don't want to continually have to dodge around these issues and since I already have programs installed and am connected to my BES, it will be a real pain in the *** to have to do that all over again. If I have to (wiping and swaping the unit, I will have to) I only want to do it once.

My question is, if I wanted a replacement, how would I go about getting one from T-Mobile/RIM?

You might try to upgrade the os on the phone and see if this will help you. It is always worth a try.
