Talking Sprint 8830

Please Login to Remove!

It appears this device did launch today as expected. I am excited that Sprint FINALLY got their 8800 series device released. Now I can see if I like the device or not. Biggest concern is the keyboard being more compact.

I'd suggest a different thread title.

Is it just on phone sales? I still do not see it on the website?

It was only released for business accts and the top 500 retail stores in the nation. The cost varies depending on your company discount...we pay something like $199

i called sprint directly and ordered it. I was told i would have it in 2-3 biz days. FYI- I am not on a business account, nor did I call business sales. Who knows if the rep I spoke to was correct.

new account

holy crap. i spent 40 minutes on the phone talking to this indian woman and she told me i need to add a voice plan, what a load of crap. and when i started telling her she should've told me before i gave her my personal info she hung up on me!

then i talked to another indian man and he got my order through. not after he gave me the same crap, but i played him nicely because i told him i would not be giving him my info if it is not for a 49.99 data plan for 199.99 after MIR price for the 8830. anytime he tried to pull something i referred back to the original conversation

i hate outsourcing!!!

Thanks,

I too put it on my account as a new activation, thus the $199 price tag. I believe they quoted me $549 if I were to buy it outright.
