Default 8830 Speakerphone Issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I seem to be having problems with my speakerphone. When using the speed dial function the speakerphone is automatically activated for a few seconds and then shuts off. Any ideas of how to make this stop?

TIA

I also have this problem on my Verizon 8830. When I dial via speed dial, the speakerphone comes on for 3 - 4 seconds before transferring over to the handset or to the bluetooth device. Based on the volume of the speakerphone, this can be painful if you happen to hold the phone up to your ear expecting a normal call. Additionally it is annoying if you are in a quiet spot and just trying to check your voicemails or something.

This is a somewhat new behavior, I know the phone did not do this initially. As far as I know I have not upgraded any software / firmware etc. If you dial the number normally from the address book entry it works fine.

Does anyone else have this problem or can you suggest a solution (other than don't use the speed dial).
