About 2 wks ago only about 50 percent of my emails were coming through, but gmail seems to have fixed itself now.

I've only had my 8830 a couple of weeks, but had my 8703e, the 8830's predecessor, set up the same way. So I haven't noticed any problems, but that could be something in the software of the 8830 that gives Gmail a fit. I scanned the 8700 BBF while I had that phone and don't remember seeing any complaining about gmail.

Fortunately I havent had any problems at all. I check email via Outlook on my PC and from BB BIS and the Gmail gets to my BB instantly, before my 1 minute Outlook polling.

Having two clients access a single POP server and keep track of what is synched can cause problems. See this How should I use POP on mobile or multiple devices for a possible solution.

It shouldn't cause any problems because the blackberry does not access e-mails grom g-mail using POP. At night I turn off my phone and use outlook to check my e-mails. In the morning, when I turn my phone back on, I still receive the messages that have already been downloaded to outlook.

This was discussed a lot in another thread and it appeared that if users put the "recent:" thing on their Outlook client it resolved the issue.
