8700 won't send sms messages For some reason, my 8700 stopped sending SMS messages. Is there a way to turn that function on or off? If I reached my text limit, does it turn off? Thanks, Kameraman |
What happens when you try to send? I believe if you reached your limit you can still send, your carrier will just charge a certain amount of money for each message over the limit. You may want to try (if you haven't already) pulling the battery to see if that helps. |
It "looks" like it sends the message. I've tried sending test messages to my famlies phones and non of them receive anything. |

That sounds like a carrier network problem. If it appears the SMS has been sent, your phone has already passed it to the network. So, if they're not arriving, something in the network or a server is gummed up. |
that happened to me yesterday, turned out the txt feature was removed from my account "Accidently" they readdded it an im good |
That's exactly what it was! I went there today and they told me it was taken off for some reason. Works again! Thanks for input from all involved! |

make sure that the NETWORK TO SEND OVER: is set to GSM or GPRS Preferred. GPRS alone may prevent transmission of SMS over your network... cge tsong kmsta n lng... |
