Default Junk email folder not emptying

Please Login to Remove!

I have searched for this, and I can't seem to find it discussed anywhere. I have an 8830 and it synchonizes my Outlook Inbox fine. I am on an BES server (Mi8 is my provider). Email that my Outlook identifies as junk email goes to the Junk email folder on my BlackBerry. However, when I empty my junk email in Outlook, it doesn't empty on my Blackberry. I have tried resetting the device, wiping and reactivating, and changing and saving my reconciliation settings (Device and Handheld is the current status). I have had no luck and my provider has no idea what to do.

Does anyone have this problem? Am I missing something?

Also, I realized that when I delete from Outlook, the BlackBerry follows. When I "Empty Junk Email" the BlackBerry doesn't know what happened. The former simply puts the email in my deleted items, and the latter is a permanent deletion. I suspect this issue is tied into this.

My apologies if there is a better place to post this.

Normally only the Inbox & Sent Items folders are synchronized wirelessly. You can change this either on the BES side (ask your provider to uncheck the junk mail folder) or you can run the desktop manager and select email settings->advanced tab->selected folders & then uncheck any folders you don't want to synch.

Good luck!
