I am sure many of you have been trying to figure this out but I think I just did.

1. Install Destop Manager 4.2 SP2 (multi-language)
*you can get this from BlackBerry

2. Download and install the lastest Handheld OS from you service provider

3. Download and unzip the file I have attached (korean.zip)

4. Run app loader

5. Add korean.alx

This should do it. I just got my 8800 from T-Mobile to work.

I'm trying to load it but I can't.
The step I'm confused is when I run the App Loader What soft ware I have to use to load it? When I click "Add" and select the Extracted file it gives error saying that It has not application to associate it with. Please help

did you follow step 1? You can not use the software that make in the box. You need to go to Blackberry.com and download the version I put on step 1

tried the above steps..

when you try and select korean.alx, this pops up.

"no additional applications designed for your device are found"

anyone else have any luck? Is there a CJK version of the 8830 OS anywhere?

Hi,

This is my first post and I am a noob to BB's... However, I have searched everywhere for an OS for the 8830 that will support CJK text. I do not think there is anything available at this time, especially considering that most Asian countries use GSM technology, and would not have the CDMA 8830's available, which means they would not have the need to create an OS that supports the 8830.
I know that the Curve and 8800's have CJK, but then I would have to put up with ATT...
