1.What are those two metal things on the side below the voice dial button

2. Everytime i send an e-mail it sends the original message, WASTING DATA... how do i turn that off, thanks guys...

no no, i meant when someone sends me an e-mail and i reply, it sends them the message they sent me with my response... i want to turn that off.

To my knowledge, you can't.

That doesn't waste data. The quoted text isn't actually sent from your device it's sent from BES/BIS.
You can remove it by hitting the menu key while typing the message abd selecting "Delete Original Text."

If you are on BIS, log onto your BIS account and edit all of your email accounts to clear the AUTO BCC.
