Default 8800 browser

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I'm completely new to the Blackberry and I'm having trouble with the browser. There are two websites loaded into the browser, neither of which I loaded and which I want to remove. Unfortunately I can't see how to do this so if someone could let me know I'd be really grateful. It doesn't seem to be covered in the FAQs.
Thanks
Liz

Deleting a bookmark(one you created)

On a web page, press the menu key
click bookmarks
highlight a bookmark
press the menu key
click "delete bookmark"

I do not believe there is a way to delete bookmarks that come default with the browser. But would love to know if there is a way.

Hello,
Very sorry but the advice just isn't working. I don't get any option to delete a bookmark and I particularly need to do it as it has come up with what appears to be a porn website called Razzle. All that happens is that the page keeps loading and I can't get rid of it.

It comes up as the home page along with BBC latest headlines on the same page.
Thanks
Liz

You may want to try running through activation again.(wiping handheld, reinstalling OS)

Refer to my blog - Bryan Kuhn or

Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ for detailed instructions.

Thanks I may have to reinstall. I emailed my son to tell him of the problem and he has found exactly the same thing has happened to his Blackberry, he also has this Razzle site which neither of us loaded.

He's told me how to reset the home page by using the options menu when I'm in the browser but unfortunately the options button doesn't work.

Is this a common problem and have we got a virus on it? It seems very strange that two Blackberries in different locations have the same unwanted website on them?
Thanks
Liz

It's very unlikely you have a virus. Don't worry. If you select the bookmark, click, and don't see a Delete option it means it can't be deleted. Most carriers do this with a few bookmarks.

Before you go thru the learning curve of doing a wipe and re-install call T-Mo (dial 611) and ask about it. You'll probably have to get transferred to the Blackberry support group.

Thanks TheBorg. My son is going to phone T-Mob this morning. I'll let you know how we manage to sort it out.
