Default Traveling to Central America

Please Login to Remove!

I will be heading down to Central America and wondering if anyone has had some expierence using the 8830 down that way. I know the deal with the SIM card but what about caling rates and prices. And does the web browser still work?

Your web browser will work, and you need to check Verizon's site for rates.

You will need to check with Verizon and see which countries they have agreements with. Many Central American countries are CDMA.

And since the 8830 also has GSM, it doesn't matter too much where he's going in Central America as long as there are agreements in place. ;)

Thanks for the help on this. I found the coverage area for Verizon. I can't believe sonme the places in the world they offer service, but not in the country of Panama. What is up with that?

Panama could be GSM or most likely they do not have a service agreement for that country right now.
