I have a thin rubber protective case on my 8830 VZ BB. I would like to know if anyone knows of a keyboard reset instead of having to take the battery out (and take the case off)?

ALT+CAP+DEL does a reset for the full QWERTY keyboard models (which I think is like a a full hard reset like removing the battery). If you do it once and the screen comes back w/in a few seconds, do it again for the full reset.

Alt-Right Shift-Del twice is effectively a hard reset but it doesn't always produce the same result as an actual battery pull in my experience. Still, it's worth trying first.

I am one of those who also believes that a battery pull does something different/more extensive than a Alt-Right Shift-Del. Could be just me... but.
