My bb is DEAD and I was looking to buy a used one from Ebay. I have verizon through my company. Can I just replace the sim card in the bb I purchase from Ebay.

Is it possible to make this switch on my own?

The 7130e is a CDMA device and doesn't use a SIM card.
If you buy another 7130e on eBay (or anywhere), you just need to call Verizon and ask them to do an ESN change for you. The ESN of the 7130e is a serial number unique to each device... and is similar to the SIM card found in GSM phones.

You may even be able to change you own ESN online if you log in to your Verizon Wireless account on the web. (May only be avail to business customers. I don't have a personal account to test this.)

ditto what penguin said also be sure that the person you are buying from is the original user of the BB. Alot of times they get sold andthey never remove their it policy or the pin from their account. It can be a huge pain and I know from experience just recently Verizon will not activate it if the PIN is on someone elses account. See if they will also give you the ESN number and call verizon to check to make sure its clean.

Yes and No...
If your company has a BES running 4.x and was syncing all you email, contacts, tasks, notes OTA your all set...

But get the esn or pin from the seller and call vzw and check if the bb is not flagged as stolen or lost...
