Default Removing battery from 8830?

Please Login to Remove!

I feel really stupid asking this question but I am having a hard time removing the battery from my VZW 8830. I can get the cover off just fine now (thanks to this forum) but I don't really seem to have a good spot to grip the battery.

Can anyone help me?

I use a flat stapler remover. Looks a little like a letter opener, only thinner.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Ditto, or a good fingernail on the LEFT edge and lift out (with BlackBerry back vertical, the battery is horizontal. Lift the left edge upwards and replace by inserting the right edge first so the metal contacts touch first.

A good fingernail on the left edge worked! Thank you. I will keep the staple remover mentioned in mind.

This forum is great!

Lightly rapping the bottom of the phone against the palm of your hand will displace the battery enough for it to pop out easily.

Woops, nevermind. Sorry - it's still early.

I generally pick it up and with a gently SMASH it against the table, and the battery generally comes out
