I am posting this thread in hopes that someone, somewhere can help me. In the process I will contribute to your paypal account. Here's what I want....I have a PowerBook G4, and a Blackberry 8703e from Sprint. I want to be able to use the phone as a wireless, or wired modem. I don't care what, as long as it works! Anyone out there with an answer has a new crisp fifty dollar bill waiting for them.

Reason: Needed changes
Sprint has to provide you with the login information if I'm not mistaken. I have Alltel and although the 8703e supports tethered modem, I am unable to use it because they (Alltel) don't support this right now.

I've got a question. If you use the FAQ to set up your blackberry and don't have the tethered plan for Cingular/ATT can you still connect or do you need that $80 plan before connecting? I don't want to try this only to find out my bill jumped a few c notes because I was using my 8700c as a modem when I was not paying for it...
With Sprint all you have to do is download the Sprint Mobile Broadband software and then connect the BB with the USB cable. I do it all the time. I'm doing it now.

When using the BB as a modem (8703e on Sprint), is it using the cell phone signal and am I charged by the minute or is it using the broadband data signal?
On the Sprint site it leads me to believe it's the broadband signal and that I am allowed 5mb. That doesn't sound like very much. Anyone know what happens if I go over the 5mb?
