VZW 7250 (Misc. Questions) I just upgraded from the MOTO V710 to the Blackberry 7250. I just got rid of a 7230 from T-Mobile. Time to carry around ONE device! That being said...on my T-Mobile BB, when I hit the "Browser" icon, there was a portal much like one you would find on the V710 with a bunch of WAP sites. When I hit the "Browser" icon on the 7250, it has a bunch of links, none of which are like a "Homepage", if you will. Does this device not have one? I've alraedy had the Service Book resent, so I'm not sure that it doe. Also, on the 7230, when on the homescreen, hitting a "W" would bring you to the "W"eb, and the "O" would take you to "O"ptions. No such luck here. Any advice? Thank you in advance. |

Set "Dial From Home Screen" to No This will enable the shortcuts. Can't help you with the Verizon web browser. |
Thank you so much! Anyone for the browser question? |
Nope, no portal that I'm aware (at least there isn't one on mine). It's simply a web browser you can surf where ever you like. |
Open the browser, click the thumbwheel for the menu and select Options, then Browser Configuration and you will see a place to enter the homepage url of your choice and then save that configuration. |
Follow-up I guess my question is this: On T-Mobile, there were things like "Sports", then "ESPN" or "FOX NEWS"; or more importantly, AIM. My V710 (VZW) had Mobile Web, with these features, including AIM. For an extra $40/mo., I'm losing this? Something doesn't seem to jive. Any insight? |

nope, you're not losing anything except aim.. you are free to surf whatever webpage floats your boat.. if you're looking for sports, espn, fox news, etc.. go to their websites. ie www.espn.com or if you want, try searching for a wap version of those pages. hope this helps. |
you are in the same case as me v710 to a BB. Can I ask you a few questions? One, how is the reception in comparison to the 710? How is the ear piece volume? |
7250 Reception is exactly the same; ear piece volume is equal (must hit the sweet spot) |
