Default Out of Holster into Multi-tap

Why is it that the 7100t automatically going into multi-tap, after you take it out of the holster. This is annoying to me since I like the Voda phone theme and the large ABC in the top right corner covers my battery indicator. Is there a way to eliminate the phone from defaulting into multi-tap mode when it goes into the holster. thanks

That's not the default behavior. You must have accidentally set multi-tap and it has stuck. Go into compose mode, press and hold the * key. If that doesn't help, check out this earlier thread...

I read the thread and it doesn't help me very much. I do have a trial version of verichat and I have recently uploaded ramble onto my phone, could this be the reason for the automatic multi-tap? The weird thing is that once I go to type a message the ABC disappears, it's just when coming out of sleep that it goes to multi-tap.

It most certainly could be one of the applications, but since I don't run either.....

Sorry
