Default 8703e compatible with desktop 4.2 sp 1

I am having issues trying to sync my Blackberry 8703e with Outlook/Exchange with BES available next month, so I need to use USB to connect. Verizon supplies Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.1.1.9. Would an upgrade to 4.2 sp 1 fix the problem. The problem is that when I select Outlook for example to sync contacts, then I get grayed out file name and it will not let me browse to location and select. I wonder if removing outlook.pst and recreating new outlook.pst might fix the problem or going to 4.2 sp 1 will fix issue.

Hmm, I don't know. I'd suggest starting with deleting your Outlook profile and re-creating it first.
