Question Seidio rubberized holster users........

Please Login to Remove!

Does the holster do any damage to the phone at the contact point on bottom and on top.

With my old nextels, after time of using the holster it wore away the paint where it clipped in. Ig uess over time sand a stuff gets in there and scratches the phone.

How is the seidio holster?

TIA

I've only had the 8830 for about a week, it's been in the Seidio case ever since, and so far no scuffs.

I have the old-style (non-rubberized) version of this holster for the 8703 and it did scratch the case of the BB a little bit.

It would seem that the rubberized version would be less prone to scratching.

i think they added extra rubber padding to prevent this damage, can anyone else confirm?

I've had Seido cases for a 7100 and 8700 - never noticed scratching, but the new rubberized case for the 8830 is really soft where it touches the phone - sure, if there's a grain of sand or something sticking to the rubber you may have problems, but otherwise...

I am noticing a tendency for the top clip to want to "click" in the speaker slot - I manually open the clip & hold it open while I put the phone in. Then again, I'm still in the "honeymoon" phase and am being overly gentle

After the honeymoon the same thing will happen but you get used to something feeling 'wrong' with it as you click it back into the holster on your belt. The other thing that happens in this sort of holster is clothing getting pinching in the corners and causing the BB to pop back out.

I still love the holster and hybrid case combo, don't get me wrong, just pointing out some things to keep an eye on. -Pk
