ok so i looked high and low for this but i could not find what i needed. I am trying to figure out if i can have messages to and from one person ALL grouped together. instead of having multiple entries in my messages folder. Also can u do this with e-mails as well? as stated before i did search already but i did not find anything... thank you in advance

I think this answers your question, but I'm not sure....

You can't have the messages grouped like that...they are grouped in the order in which they are received (based on the date/time of the device).

What exactly do you mean when you say 'under'? I'm confused....

Zeek, what you are saying is you want to sort by sender, correct? For what it's worth, you can at least search on sender and then see all messages from that sender in new window. Don't know if you can do what you want with 4.2 OS, but someone will answer when it's understood what you want.

filed by her name. so you would see her name in the messages folder, and all messages are stored there. you would have to click on her name to open all messages to and from her. instead of having everything scattered through the messages folder.
example:

Susan XXXXX

Mike XXXXX

Jon XXXXX

etc etc...

and in each name all the messages would be stored

The Blackberry will not sort messages like that.

zeek, looks to me your question was answered. No can do. However, as I wrote, you can very easily search on sender and see only those messages from that sender.

Yup -- search is your best bet. You can even tie a search to an alt-hotkey combo if you frequently use it.
