Question 7100i Nextel, voicemail notification problem

Please Login to Remove!
User has a 7100i. If phone is on and misses call, voicemail notification works. If phone is off, and voicemail left, no notification when phone turned on. Have to call voicemail to discover new message(s).

Anyone seen this and/or know how to fix it?

There is not little notification ICON on the homescreen of a voicemail waiting?

User reports no icon. I showed him the icon from the manual; he says he's never seen it.

I guess the BB is not there for you to actually look at?

It will be tomorrow... I'm going to have him turn it off, call it, leave a vm, turn it back on and see what happens.

And sometimes, I have noticed (on TMo, not Nextel) the voicemail messages which gets set is not always sent immediately. Could be 10-15 minutes.
