The icon for a voice mail waiting won't clear when I've heard and deleted all pending voice mails. The icon of a cassette remains. The number 1 remains. Until it turns to a 2, when I have 2 new voice mails. The result is I don't see the correct number of pending voice mails. Is this a blackberry problem or a signal supplier (cingular) problem and how do I fix it?

I had this issue before as well. What I did was call my BlackBerry from a different phone, and then left a voice message. I then accessed the voice mail from the BlackBerry and deleted that voice message. This took away the cassette icon. You will want to start this process when you have no real voice messages in your voice message box.

I know that on my 8703e, if you do not listen to the whole message, then delete, reply, etc..., the icon will stay there. Just a thought.

Even after deleting it? Weird.
I haven't tried that, since I usually listen to the whole message.
