Default slow/delay when out of service?

Please Login to Remove!

I notice that if I'm in an area where I don't get service (like my office) the device moves very slowly when I try to perform simple functions (scrolling through apps, calendar etc.) is this normal?

Also, any way to set the phone to SPCS only? I'm getting destroyed by voice roaming charges.

Thanks,

I have options>mobile network and then network selection mode: automatic or home only. If I put it on home only will I still be able to roam on data? I only want to change voice to sprint only.

thanks,

Update/bump:

i'm still getting destroyed with horrible roaming charges. Anyone know how to set the VOICE to Sprint only so that I don't have to keep incurring these charges?

There might be more than one way to skin this cat.

It sounds more like you really need to look into a roaming plan with Sprint. If all this roaming is taking place within your HOME area, you may need another carrier that has better coverage in your area. in my opinion, that is a valid reason to break a contract with a carrier if you find they do not service your home area as you needed.
