Default AOL Mail and BB 8700c

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so I have 8 email address (personal) and 1 work email address.

I have 7 of the 9 email addresses on my 8700c.

My work doesn't pay for my cell phone, so its not on there and my Hotmail address is not on there because Hotmail is now required to be synced with outlook (barf).

My question is, I have my AOL email coming to my BB, but I do not get an alert for it (i.e. there is no vibrate+tone) to let me know that I have received an email. I have to randomly check my phone throughout the day. I do get an icon alerting me that I have a message. Is there any way to change this?

Also, there is not an email icon for it with the globe in front of it. I have all icons showing.

As always, all help is greatly appreciated!

You may need to check your profiles to check and see if there is a notification set.

Go to Profiles, edit the active profile, then edit the name of the AOL account(s) (should say something like Messages [<AOL mailbox name>]. Check and see what is set for "Out of Holster" and "In Holster." Make the necessary changes and then save.

For some reason, the AOL mailbox is not shown when I go to edit the active profile.

Default Fix

If anybody stumbles across this thread again, I deleted the AOL account in my BIS then reloaded it, it gave me the icon on my home screen and I get alerts for the messages.
