I prefer the AGENDA view. If I set SHOW FREE TIME to NO, when I open the calender (in agenda view), it defaults to an entry about 2 weeks earlier. If I turn SHOW FREE TIME to YES, then when I open the calendar in agenda view it starts with the correct date (today).

Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone have a solution?

Agenda view when set for show free time=no doesn't display days with no calendar entries. It can't go to today if there is not entry for today, so it goes to the nearest appointment. I don't know why it goes backward. Do you not have any appointments in the future?

I have plenty of entries in the future - some within a day or two. Some are recurring some are single entry... but it goes back beyond some previous appointments, as well...

I had the same problem on my Sprint 8830.
What I did to rectify the problem was wipe the handheld.
Re-install the OS, and before I re-sync'd the unit, I went back into my Outlook calendar and fixed and questionable entries. By questionable, I mean re-occuring entries that were fudged with from sync'in with my palm and my other blackberry. Somewhere along the line some of the 'all day', re-occuring appointments showed up for 2 days and so forth... After all of that I re sunc'd all 940 entries (past and future) and set my default to AGENDA view. And now it works. I hope this helps.

I just reinstalled (actually upgraded the OS yesterday... wish I'd known). I did have a palm in my past, so you may be onto something... I will explore that possibility - and the daunting task of cleaning up my outlook calendar... won't be easy... i sync with outlook at home, Notes at work and the outlook was formerly synced with a palm tx... at least I now have someplace to start.

I did an abbreviated version of the cleanup - deleted all of the junk with recurring appointments, including several business trips that spanned a week or so as a single multi-day event. Once I cleaned that up, I synced again, and found a few more repeating appointments in the past to which the Agenda view insisted on visiting. I deleted those on the BB... then re-synced again, did the battery pull to clear everything out and voila! Life is good. Thanks again!


ONE FINAL UPDATE: Recurring all day appointments still causes the problem. If I use regular (non-all-day) appointments, the agenda view behaves as expected. I can live with this for now...
