Question Address Book Dups

Please Login to Remove!

For whatever reason I accumulated a severe number of dups in my BB address book. I found an add-on that finds all of the duplicates in Outlook and it delees them. OK, now I have a clean Outlook, how do I sync now so that my Outlook overrides the BB just this one time so that I can clean up the dups?

Edit your sync (Desktop Manager > Synch > Configure Tab, Configure Sync). You want to make the sync this one time as ONE-directional, the list of syncs to take place will look like this: (by highlighting ADDRESS BOOK, and clicking CHOOSE, highlight Miscrosoft Outlook and click the radio button IMPORT).
Click OK and the sync for the Address Book will look this:

Address Book <--- Microsoft Outlook. GOOD Import to BB

Not this:
Address Book <--> Microsoft Outlook. NO... syncs both ways

Not this:
Address Book ---> Microsoft Outlook. No, exports from BB to MS Outlook.

You could also do this, probably simpler (I have done it both ways)

Desktop Manager > Synch > Configure Tab, Configure Sync.
Highlight AddressBook, click CONFIGURE at bottom, and ADVANCED.
Click Conflict Resolution Tab. Click Microsoft Outlook Wins.

Make sure you set your setting BACK to sync properly after you run this.
