Default old blackberry - new laptop with vista!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I have a 7230 that I have been using solely as a pda for a while (no phone or email svc). I want to transfer contacts, calendar and other info to a new laptop and am wondering if I can upgrade Blackberry Desktop Manager for my device to a more current version. It has v4.0.0.185. While scouring the Blackberry website, I found the statement that the 7230 could use version 3.8 or higher. Just wanting to check with experienced folks whether that means I can download the latest desktop manager version on my laptop and upgrade my blackberry. I am simply wanting to get all the info off this blackberry before it retires. Anyone know if I can upgrade to the highest BDM version?

Thanks in advance,

Amy

Wirelessly posted (9900: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You need one of the later versions for the Vista drivers. Get the one one without the Roxio since it won't help. On my BB so can't look up the version.
